National Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. 27 May – 3 June Reconciliation Australia acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples should be aware that this website may contain images or names of people who have since passed away. Mendi Wallacia Planting Day

On Sat 20 April, Greater Sydney Landcare’s Creating Canopies team hosted a planting day at a Wallacia property owned by The Sabian Mandaean Association. Over 60 Mandaean community members came together to plant 2,800 native trees and shrubs. Their efforts will not only enhance the beauty of the area but also create cooling shade for future generations.
